What is Western digital raptor?

The Western Digital Raptor is actually a series of high performance hard disk drives, manufactured and developed by Western Digital. This drive has currently captured all the places from the enthusiasts, to the workstations to the small-server markets. Conventionally, the majority of servers used hard drives, which feature a SCSI interface because of their advantages in both performance as well as reliability over consumer-level ATA drives.
