It can be kept in the vehicle and the camera fixed on the tripod at the location.
Tripods are generally the requirements of professionals and not occasional photographers. Even, some professionals keep many types of tripods for different needs and situations. They are more knowledgeable of the features of tripods than normal people are. A tripod can be purchased from branded camera accessories shops at reasonable prices.
